Concierge Association of San Antonio has been serving the Tourism Industry in our city for the past 23 years. Our organization has promoted education, knowledge and skills for “front of the house” employees in the Hotels with a concentration on the Concierge position. Our goal is to continue that idea of providing education, information and networking, so that together we can promote our city’s sites and attractions to our visitors.
Since 1988 I have been a member of C.A.S.A. and have served on many boards and committees in an effort to create awareness of the importance of a Concierge staff as a valuable resource of its hotel.
As we continue to see more and more individuals joining the hotel profession it is our responsibility to provide that venue. I have met many Concierge and Concierge Associations throughout the United States and our Concierge organization continues to be unique as we not only allow the Concierge professionals, but the Bell, Door and Front desk staffs to benefit in participating in the monthly meetings and socials that are available throughout the year.
In the past couple of years we have seen various businesses in our city create new Concierge positions to assist with their customer service needs. C.A.S.A. welcomes Corporate Concierge and Inn keepers of Bed And Breakfast to our membership list. Recently, Spurs Sports and Entertainment has hired a Head Concierge for Courtside Club to their roster. Rick Aguero who spent the past 30 years in the hotel industry will now head up this new position for the Spurs and assist in creating the ultimate Guest Relations for their valuable courtside VIP ticket holders.
For the next two years I am committed to providing C.A.S.A. the support it needs to enhance the level of customer service our individuals display in our respective hotels. As a 12 year member of the national and international hotel lobby Concierge organization Les Clefs d’Or it is my goal to encourage local Concierge professionals in continuing their career path by applying for this most prestigious organization.
